I love Christmas! All the traditions, movies, food and especially the decorations. I decorate my house from top to bottom, inside and out! So of course, the dollhouses must get decked out as well. Throughout the month of December I will reveal dollhouse rooms decorated for Christmas. Let’s kick off the Christmas tour with Emma’s Bedroom. If you would like room dimensions or more pictures, please visit the original post Emma’s Bedroom.
To begin in Emma’s room, I started with the bed. I choose a solid red tea towel for her bedding because I wanted to incorporate her existing buffalo plaid and I was afraid another pattern would make it to busy. I kept the wreath on the decorative window and just added a red bow. I found black plaid picture frame ornaments and instead of photos, I typed out Peace and Joy in red.
I made a matching wreath to put around the antelope’s neck. On the wall, I hung the tiniest command hook I could find to hold Emma’ stocking. The stocking is an ornament and I added a bow to cover the hook. The mini American Girl shopping bag is a little something given out to customers shopping with their dolls in stores. I chose a white 18” tree and added white lights. I decorated it only with black and gold ornaments. I used leftover buffalo plaid fabric as a tree skirt. The packages under the tree are a pack of cheap ornaments from the dollar store. The snow dome on the nightstand was an ornament, I just removed the hook.
Emma’s doll Kit is dressed in her Christmas outfit and makes an adorable addition to the holiday scene. For a guide to collecting the American Girl mini dolls see my post Meet the Minis. I hope you have enjoyed Emma’s room. Merry Christmas! 🎄 To see more Dandridge House Doll Christmas rooms visit Kit’s Christmas Kitchen and Christmas in Kirsten’s Cabin.
