Ella’s Room: Christmas Edition

If there’s anything I love more than decorating dollhouses, it’s decorating them for Christmas! I’m excited to show off this sparkly room so let’s get started! Ella is more of a girly girl than Emma so she needed a lot more glitz. Ella’s room definitely had to start with a pink tinsel tree! If you would like room dimensions or building/design details, please visit the post Ella’s Bedroom.

I had planned on changing Ella’s bedspread but after trying several options her original one worked best. I decided to use its color scheme for the tree decor. I used cream, green and gray ornaments on the pink tree and fairy lights because I didn’t want any cords visible on the tinsel.

I used a white furry tree skirt with gold shimmery flecks. On the wall, I hung the tiniest command hook I could find to hold Ella’s stocking. The stocking is an ornament from Hobby Lobby and the fur mimicked the fur on the tree skirt. I stuck a tiny package bow on the hook to cover it up.

I removed Ella’s nightstand and replaced it with the My Life Walmart brand sewing table and stool that I sprayed painted gold. I originally did this piece for Rebecca’s Bedroom that will debut in a couple of months but Ella is borrowing it for the holidays. 😉

I wrapped little faux presents to place under the tree. I tried to keep pink and gold dots running throughout the room. On Ella’s table I place a glass egg holder and filled it with gold ornaments.

I wrapped tiny tree garland around the bed frame. Ella’s Marie Grace doll sits proudly on the bed dressed in her Holiday Outfit (which also coordinates with the color scheme). 😉 To learn more about the American Girl mini dolls visit the post Meet the Minis.

Most all of the decorations came from Hobby Lobby’s mini tree section. The ornaments and egg holder are from Target.

I hope you have enjoyed Ella’s Christmas decorations! 🎄 To see more Dandridge House Doll Christmas rooms visit Emma’s Room: Christmas EditionKit’s Christmas Kitchen, Christmas in Kirsten’s Cabin. More Christmas room posts are on their way, so stay tuned!
